Similarly, the top female players are often drafted into the National Women’s Soccer League (USA) or signed to other international leagues including across the globe.

Dave McPherson’s playing career speaks for itself, but Dave takes equal pride in his accomplishments after retiring from professional football. After a spell in Australia at the tail-end of his career, Dave was involved in identifying some of the most promising Australian talents and moving them onto Europe. Under his guidance and mentorship, players such as Scott McDonald, Patrick Kisnorbo and Ryan McGowan would go on to full international recognition with the Socceroos, with McGowan starring for Australia in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

In addition to his successful sports management business, Dave’s attentions have expanded into identifying the best young talent from across the globe for GSR, and assists them in gaining sports scholarships in the United States, giving them the best chance in both sporting and academic careers. Dave is delighted to be returning to Australia in the hopes of finding the next generation of sports stars with the new GSR ID Camps across the country.
